Aligning your organisational and platform objectives
In a digital era, your data is your stakeholder…. So show it some love! So often, a well conceived data strategy is the missing link between your organizational goals and leveraging your technology.
Indeed, a conversation about data can also bridge the gap between organisational silos, linking IT and business goals.
Perhaps you are creating your organisation’s first CRM strategy and need an expert you can rely on. Or you need support in the governance and processes to create and drive your CRM roadmap.
Whether you’re preparing for a platform migration or want to optimise the one you’ve got, we can be the guiding hand to support you through it.
We can help you to review your data through a strategic lens, find the gaps and help you map your route to success. Cross-functional collaboration will be key to make the most of your platform, so let us help you to establish the principles, tools and governances to maximise your return on this critical investment.

Bridge the Gap to Leverage your CRM
Most nonprofits are lucky enough to have a trusted implementation partner working with them to develop their CRM platform. This might be the same company who supplies your license, or an external partner with technical expertise.
If you are either preparing to optimise your CRM or migrate to a new one, it can be a challenge to take that strategic step back. Whether it’s carving out the time to do so, or an organisational literacy gap in how to gather and articulate your requirements, we can help through our advisory services.
With vast experience in both in-house charity teams and external technology providers, we can help to bridge the gap in capacity, communication and planning. We work collaboratively to aid coordination between partners and charities towards mutual success – so that your platform does what you need it to do! We work flexibly to adjust our approach in line with your maturity and capacity.

“Jane’s invaluable support through detailed scoping, comprehensive tender document, and fine-grained assessment has ensured that Epilepsy Ireland’s CRM implementation project is built on a very solid foundation with clear parameters for success.  Jane’s experience in, and understanding of, the not-for-profit sector was very evident in her work. Jane worked with a broad range of stakeholders to identify needs and cultivate buy-in across the organisation. Jane was able to clarify and illuminate a very complex topic in a way that built confidence and a unified understanding of organisational needs.
I would highly recommend Jane to any organisation that is looking for support in undertaking work on data strategy and management.”

Strategic Requirements Workshop
Our strategic requirements workshop, brings internal stakeholders – both leadership and operational – together to map your organisation’s current data landscape. This interactive cross-functional workshop will map your core external stakeholders and platforms to identify opportunities for a future state of same.   Â
Our tried and tested method brings you through four facilitated stages:
Stakeholder mapping: Detailed capture of diverse stakeholder groups across teams and early exploration of where the majority of overlap between cohorts may lie.
Core functionality requirements:Â Brainstorm core functionality required to deliver, engage and steward each type of stakeholder to identify commonalities & specialisms.
Existing platforms:Â Capture platforms already in use across teams to deliver key functionalities and where known gaps lie for different teams.
Known pain points vs what’s working well: Identify functionalities that are core to requirements, adoption & engagement with platforms & known issues or integrations.
In addition to the internal stakeholder engagement inherent in the process, key insights from each stage will be recorded and presented. This is often a first step in requirements gathering to understand needs ahead of a CRM migration.
Strategic Mentoring Package
We are committed to capacity building in organisations so that they can continue to thrive in their journey far beyond any one time bound project. In addition to career mentoring, we provide specialist strategic mentor support on core areas spanning fundraising, Supporter Experience, and Data/ CRM strategy in particular.
This can be helpful as you embark on a new project and are establishing project plans and governance structure. Equally, at a certain point in the project, it is time for a consultant to say goodbye! But sometimes it’s helpful to have a sounding board as you move forward – this is a robust way to stay in touch.
This capacity is often used as a project sponsor to check in at key project milestones. The most appropriate and valuable parameters on how to use this time can be agreed in collaboration with you and your key stakeholders.
